Let's face it, life rarely goes as planned. When things go awry and we face uphill battles, adversity, failures, and disappointment it can range the gamut from bummer to devastation. Wherever disappointment falls on the scale, there's one thing all these experiences share.
I've not exactly been quiet about my own disappointments, but I've rarely shared them in a public forum because there is still shame and a deep sense of failure associated with this for me.
So why am I sharing them now? I wrote a story for you, partly to share another aspect of my creative experience, but mostly as an intentional act of healing and growth. Yes, this is a marketing blog on a business website, but it is the perfect forum for me to incorporate this narrative because it illustrates elements of exactly what Musae Faction stands for and why we exist: to empower women and elevate the voices of those that need to be heard... and, hopefully, bring you a bit of inspiration while we are at it.
Both Musae Faction and my personal brand values incorporate authenticity and vulnerability in storytelling in order to better resonate with an audience. If I am going to promote these traits, I had better be ready to embody them myself. If it leaves me feeling like a Natalie Imbruglia song - cold, shamed, and lying naked on the floor - so be it.
I know at least one of you reading this is just like I was; all I've ever strived to be is who I needed at that time. This is my "why" and why I have poured myself out in the most metaphorically naked way I ever have. May each and every one of you find at least a fractal of the comfort, advice, and hope I did as you encounter your own challenges.
The key to growing and learning from failure, disappointment, and adversity lies in the pages of my story. Click the button below to read and discover the secret for yourself.

Like a 25-cent game
Maybe this weight was a gift
Like I had to see what I could lift."
